3.1. How do you assess the relationship between the formal partners of this Action (i.e. those partners which have signed a partnership statement)? Please specify for each partner organisation
Cooperation with the partners Terca form Mostar and Youth Council from Drvar in the project was quite satisfactory. In view of the earlier experiences in joint work and the RRS’s endeavors to build the capacity especialy of Youth Council, as well as their desire to improve the quality of their organization’s work, cooperation proceeded without any problems and to mutual satisfaction.
The concrete role of partners are organizing meetings with Agriculture cooperatives in all the five target places, assistance in the organization of Conferences, surveying returnee population, logistical support in the organizing of the trainings an participating in establishing of coordinating board.
3.2. How would you assess the relationship between your organisation and State authorities in the Action countries? How has this relationship affected the Action?
The problems covered during this project (capacity building of Agriculture cooperatives, their better connection with local authorities, their networking etc) required continuous contacts with various levels of power, from the local to Cantonal authorities.
During the first six months of the project, the RRS maintained regular contacts with the local authorities in Drvar, Glamoc, Bosansko Grahovo and Bosanski Petrovac,maunly contacts with Mayors, on Cantonal level RRS primarily have contact with the ministries for Agriculture. Contact with Cantonal authorities start at the middle of January 2007. (new Cantonal government).
The participation of the authorities at these levels significantly contributed to the realization of the project activities for this report time. The best support came from Mayor of Bosanski Petrovac, which provide a support for Agriculture cooperative from Bravsko (support for reconstruction building).
3.3. Where applicable, describe your relationship with any other organisations involved in implementing the Action:
RRS has no contact with any other Association, except project partners.
RRS was in touch with East code in process buying computer and printer. In March 2007. RRS made contact with Agriculture coopertaive "Rico" from Trebinje, RRS made agreement with them about donating 10 000 pc. of raspberry for all targeted Agriculture cooperatives.
Final Beneficiaries and Target groups of project is included in activities in all segments of the project. The beneficiaries are involved in trainings, participation in conferences and through participation in Coordination board for Agriculture cooperatives. In process of making join Marketing strategy RRS and partners provide fully participation of final beneficiaries as well as crucial members from all targeted Agriculture cooperatives.
During winter RRS was in touch with Agriculture coopertaive "Rico" from Trebinje, which provide 10 000 pcs, of raspberry for Agriculture cooperatives which is targeted in project. 10 000 pcs. of raspberry was distributed to all 5 Agriculture cooperatives as a donation. The value of this contribution is cca. 4 600 KM. At the conference, held at the begining of the project, RRS invite a Agriculture cooperative from Vrtoce (Bosanski Petrovac) as a quest. Intention of this invitation was presentation of their work as a good example for targeted Agriculture cooperatives as well as possibilities for further cooperation.
3.4. Where applicable, outline any links you have developed with other actions
In mean time RRS start with the implementation of program in partnership with CWS in Bosansko Grahovo, the name of the program is Build the village. For this program RRS targeted of 6 micro locations around Bosansko Grahovo. The goal of the program is to improved capacities of 6 micro locations through capacity building of their Local Community boards. RRS intention is to make connection of these 6 locations with Agriculture cooperative in Bosansko Grahovo. This is good opportunity for making sustainable activities of Agriculture cooperative from Bosansko Grahovo.
RRS is one of the founders Local Action Group which will be covered areas of Drvar, Glamoc, Bosanski Petrovac and Bosansko Grahovo. Other founders are: Municipalities of Drvar, Glamoc, Bosanso Grahovo and Bosanski Petrovac. The main goal of this subject will be pre access funds from European Union with goal to developed rural areas through developing Agriculture producing, tourism etc. Developing of Agriculture produce will be important think for Agriculture cooperatives as well as possibility to find other funds for their work.
3.5. If your organisation has received previous EC grants in view of strengthening the same target group, in how far has this Action been able to build upon/complement the previous one(s)? (List all previous relevant EC grants).
RRS receive four previous grants from EC, through partnership with World Vision and ASB in CARDS 2001, CARDS 2002 and CARDS 2003 as well as through RRS project "Know your rights". All received grants has the same target groups, mainly returnee population in areas of Cantons 1 and 10.
